Feeling Your Way To Healing
How to feel it all the way through to spark your healing
Do you ever have moments when you feel like everything is against you?
Moments that seem so overwhelming, you feel like you can’t get out? If you often carry these moments that seem to “stack up”, depressing feelings may begin to stir within that leave you saying “what’s the point, why do I even try?”. This can become overwhelming but feeling it fully is the way in and eventually the way out.
If you are experiencing stickiness in your life, please continue reading. This is an invitation to hold space for our emotions and mother ourselves back to wholeness.
How?
We step into the present moment by going into the emotion that seems to be overriding our life. In a safe way for you, feel it all the way through. Let your body feel and purge the raw emotion, hold your awareness and stay with it. Yoga helps. Maybe you find a safe place to scream into a pillow to move the rage, or stomp your feet to get into your body, or cry your eyes out to move the grief. Moving your body helps to clear out the stuckness. The important thing is to get your emotions IN MOTION and let yourself be fully present and aware of what’s there.
Please do not bypass this key part. The aim is not to override what’s there and true to move on quicker and get to the end result, but to fully process and heal—PS there is no one and done healing. It’s a process that continues for the rest of our lives because new layers always reveal themselves for you to get to an even deeper level of peace.
⊙
Once you’ve allowed yourself the space to receive a new perspective (which may lead you to therapy or energy work to help you get to the source) you may be ready to invite the following phrase to help you transition to a new path or possibility:
💡 **This is happening for you. Your growth’s edge.**
Invite a deep and nourishing breath. Forgive yourself. This is why we practice what we practice. This is the process of your Soul Fire Rising. It’s messy, it’s beautiful and it’s everything in between.
To be able to have the capacity to be with life and all of its facets is to be able to keep your mind, body and soul online, connected and in service of your purpose.
Remind yourself to breathe deeply. You get to tap the “do-over” button every morning when you rise to a new sun. You get to choose again.
The most important part is be present with what you feel so you can heal. In your healing you will find reprieve from those downward spiraling loops that feed those derailing and erratic emotions. You may even find peace.
**Journal Invitation**: What emotions linger that you’d rather not confront? Tune into them so you know their source and their purpose. Allow your body to tell you how it all feels. Ask for support where you need it. Get a bear hung train going. When you’re ready (you’ll know because you’ll feel lighter and more free) you get to invite redirection.
Ask yourself: What would I rather feel?
Can you invite grace into your mind to re-establish your ground and feed your heart the love it needs?
Build your capacity for these moments through practice, practice, and more practice.
Stay present, because your presence is your superpower.
And remember that perfection is an ideal…it’s not real. But you are real, and you’re doing great.
In love & gratitude,
Kay
