We All Come Here With A Purpose
Soul Fire Rising was born from a simple truth: people are waking up to their soul calling and need a safe space that honors both the beauty and the mess of this journey—one that helps them integrate their personal becoming with their place in the greater whole.

Founder & Guide
Meet Kay Jack
"Inner fire tender, teacher and forever student of nature's rhythms, sacred sciences and indigenous wisdom practices."
Kay is in service of helping others discover, align, and integrate their unique way in the world—their purpose and their highest good.
The Beginning
Kay founded Soul Fire Rising from her desire to share the skills, teachings and wisdoms she relied heavily on while navigating her own challenges. Soul Fire Rising is a transformative platform offering holistic guidance to personal evolution through self-inquiry, mindful movement, natural sciences, energy healing, retreats, workshops and more.
From a young age, Kay was immersed in a healing environment—her mother's massage therapy practice—where she attended college-level classes with her mother and learned the power of touch, movement, and self-awareness. Her passion for dance began at three, evolving into a lifelong exploration of somatic practices as a form of medicine. By age seven, Kay had taken her first yoga class, which sparked the beginning of a deep appreciation for integrating mind, body, and soul.
The Journey
Despite facing her own health challenges, medical diagnoses, emotional and physical traumas, and personal loss, Kay continued to deepen her studies in the healing arts to help her on her personal healing journey. Eventually this led her to become a guide and teacher for others on their healing path and for those re-membering their truth. Kay found resilience and renewal by bridging sacred and holistic sciences with ancient wisdoms and practices of mind, body, and soul.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Vermont, where she also served as a group fitness instructor and contributed to various non-profit organizations. After graduation, her path led her to Bend, Oregon, where she began teaching yoga and facilitating retreats in 2016. Alongside teaching, she delved into studies spanning depth psychology, sound, soul alchemy, Ayurvedic and holistic nutrition, indigenous traditions, and philosophy, ultimately weaving these diverse threads into a cohesive tapestry of healing arts.
Training & Expertise
Over the past decade, Kay's commitment to personal growth, spiritual growth, empowerment, and holistic teaching and guidance deepened through ongoing education in energy work, yoga and meditation, and nature and wisdom practices. She earned her 500-hour RYT from the Kripalu School of Yoga & Health while refining her approach to guiding others in personal growth, healing, alignment, and transformation.
Her in-depth training and continuing education has included advanced yoga, pranayama and meditation theory, nature's wisdom and rhythms, ancient wisdom traditions, soul alchemy, depth psychology, life design, somatic movement, sound healing, root cause practice training, dynamic tapping, holotropic breathwork, toning, healing with nutrition, plants as medicine, and indigenous ways & practices.
Her Approach Today
In her one-on-one sessions and group retreats, Kay emphasizes the importance of reconnecting with one's truth by integrating emotional, physical, and mental well-being, and the relationship between the physical, natural, and spiritual realms. While she trained extensively in Reiki, she has since evolved her offerings to a more universal healing method drawn from her ancestral lineage, indigenous wisdoms and nature's innate intelligence under the continuous guidance of her teachers and mentors.
As a seasoned retreat host, facilitator, guide, and ceremonialist, Kay continues to walk the path she teaches daily, honoring the sacredness of life, her purpose within the whole and the power of collective healing.
The Mission
Through Soul Fire Rising, Kay's mission is to illuminate the full potential within each individual, helping clients experience a profound sense of integrated wholeness. Her compassionate and empowering approach equips people with the tools for lasting change—unifying body, mind, soul, and emotions in a harmonious way. With reverence, clarity, and a deep gratitude for the healing arts, Kay stands ready to guide you toward your highest potential for the greatest good.
The Journey Of Soul Fire Rising
From a personal awakening to a growing movement, here's how Soul Fire Rising came to be.
Seeds of Healing
From a young age, Kay was immersed in a healing environment through her mother's massage therapy practice. She attended college-level classes alongside her mother, learning by observation the healing power of touch, movement, and self-awareness. At age three, Kay's passion for dance began—a lifelong exploration of somatic practices as medicine. By age seven, she took her first yoga class, sparking the beginning of a deep appreciation for integrating mind, body, and soul. These early experiences planted the seeds for what would later become the path of Soul Fire Rising.
Walking Through Fire
Kay faced her own life trials including health challenges that left her physically paralyzed at times, medical diagnoses, emotional and physical traumas, toxic success seeking, spiritual bypassing and personal loss. Rather than letting these experiences break her, she deepened her studies in the healing arts to support her own healing journey. During this period, she became a group fitness instructor at the University of Vermont and contributed to various non-profit organizations, beginning to bridge her personal healing with service to others. These challenges became the foundation of her empathy and understanding for others walking similar paths.
Academic Foundation & New Beginnings
Graduated from UVM with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, combining rigorous academic knowledge with years of real-world wellness experience. This foundation provided the scientific framework that would later complement indigenous wisdom practices. Completed 200 hour Kripalu Yoga teacher training along with other certifications that became a foundation for her current work. After graduation, Kay started living out of a van, traveling and working to make ends meet, pay bills and live a life that she was proud of. She made the bold move to Bend, Oregon, where she began teaching yoga and facilitating small group retreats. This was the beginning of bridging ancient practices with modern wellness, creating a unique approach that honored both tradition and innovation.
The Breaking Point
After years of various challenges ranging from personal to financial while working as a nutrition coach, living out of a van, working many jobs, accruing debts, beginning her path as a yoga teacher, a gym owner and life coach, Kay experienced her own dark night of the soul—what she now calls her "sacred unraveling." Despite doing all the "right" things and helping others transform, she found herself exhausted, disconnected, divorced from an 8 year marriage and questioning everything. This breaking point became the catalyst for a deeper journey, one that would eventually lead to Soul Fire Rising. It was in this darkness that she discovered the most profound truth: transformation requires honoring both the shadow and the light
Deepening the Studies
Kay immersed herself in diverse modalities with various healers and began diving deeper into wisdom traditions, while weaving together depth psychology, soul alchemy, Ayurvedic and holistic nutrition, indigenous traditions, and philosophy. She knew her teaching and sharing with the world depended on her own personal healing process and evolution. She trained extensively in Reiki and energy work. When Kay's cup was full, she began teaching yoga again and facilitating retreats in Boulder and on the West Coast. This period was about integration—taking all the threads of ancient wisdom, modern science, and personal experience, and weaving them into a cohesive tapestry of healing arts that would form the foundation of her work in the world. While deepning her stuides and traversing her own healing and transformation, Kay was able to heal her heart and find a loving partner to share her life with.
Soul Fire Rising is Born
Hosted the first official Soul Fire Rising retreat in Ouray, Colorado, with brave souls who said yes to their transformation. Nestled in the San Juan Mountains, this inaugural retreat combined somatic practices, ceremony, and deep community connection. The transformation was immediate and undeniable—participants described it as "life-changing," "exactly what I needed," and "coming home to myself." These 8 people became the foundation of what would grow into a global movement. The feedback was clear: this work was desperately needed.
Advanced Yoga Studies
Earned 500-hour RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) certification from the prestigious Kripalu School of Yoga & Health in Massachusetts. This intensive training deepened expertise in trauma-informed practices, somatic healing, and the art of holding sacred space for transformation. The Kripalu approach—which emphasizes compassion, self-acceptance, and meeting people where they are—became a cornerstone of the Soul Fire Rising methodology. This year also included advanced training in restorative practices, yoga nidra, pranayama, holotropic breathwork, sound healing and meditation theory.
Advanced Healing Modalities/Expansion of Soul Fire Rising
Completed extensive training in advanced healing modalities including sound healing, root cause practice training, dynamic tapping, holotropic breathwork, toning, healing with nutrition, plants as medicine, and indigenous ways and practices. Kay also deepened her studies in somatic movement, life design, and nature's wisdom and rhythms. During these transformative years, she evolved her energy work from traditional Reiki to a more universal healing method drawn from her ancestral lineage and indigenous wisdoms, guided by her teachers and mentors. In 2023, Soul Fire Rising retreats expanded to multiple locations, each one carefully chosen for its sacred energy and natural beauty. Kay refined her unique methodology of combining indigenous wisdom, ceremony, earth-based practices with somatic techniques. As a seasoned retreat host, facilitator, guide, and ceremonialist, she continues to walk the path she teaches daily—honoring the sacredness of life, her purpose within the whole, and the power of collective healing. Her intention is to help others integrate their transformed selves back into the world.
Building the Movement
Soul Fire Rising is now a growing global community of souls who are reclaiming their power, discovering their inner fire, and transforming their lives from the inside out. While in-person retreats create profound shifts, the digital platform offered allows for daily practices, ongoing support, and consistent transformation work between retreats. This expansion honors the reality that not everyone can travel to remote locations, but everyone deserves access to healing. The platform includes guided practices, monthly ceremonies, personalized roadmaps, and a thriving online community of souls walking this path together. What started with 5 people in Colorado has expanded to multiple retreat locations, a robust digital platform, and a movement that is redefining what spiritual transformation looks like. Kay's mission is to illuminate the full potential within each individual, helping clients experience a profound sense of integrated wholeness—unifying body, mind, soul, and emotions. This is not about perfection or spiritual bypassing—it is about real, sometimes messy, authentic transformation.
