Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 2026

At Soul Fire Rising, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our services.

Information We Collect

Personal Information

We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you:

  • Complete our Soul Fire Archetype assessment
  • Register for an account on our digital platform
  • Sign up for a retreat or program
  • Subscribe to our newsletter
  • Contact us through our contact form
  • Make a purchase or payment

This information may include: name, email address, mailing address, payment information, and any other information you choose to provide.

Automatically Collected Information

When you visit our website, we may automatically collect certain information about your device, including:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Pages visited and time spent on pages
  • Referring website addresses
  • Device identifiers

Assessment and Quiz Data

When you complete our Soul Fire Archetype assessment, your responses are stored locally in your browser and may be collected to help us improve our services and provide personalized recommendations.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our services
  • Process your registrations and payments
  • Send you program updates, newsletters, and marketing communications
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
  • Personalize your experience and provide tailored recommendations
  • Analyze usage patterns and improve our website functionality
  • Protect against fraud and unauthorized access
  • Comply with legal obligations

Your Private Content in the App

The Soul Fire Rising app lets you keep deeply personal content — your journal entries, oracle and tarot readings, and mood logs. This content belongs to you.

Our team and administrators do not read your private content. To operate, support, and improve the service we access only metadata and aggregated, de-identified usage trends — such as counts and timestamps — never the words you write or the readings you save. Access to our administrative tools is limited to authorized staff and protected by additional authentication.

Birth Details and Natal Personalization

In the mobile app, you may choose to provide your birth date and, optionally, your birth time and birth place. We use those details to derive your natal chart placements and personalize features such as your natal chart and daily readings. Providing birth details is optional.

While you finish onboarding, the app may keep these details temporarily in operating-system-protected storage on your device. They are not written to ordinary app preferences. The temporary copy is deleted after a successful save, if you decline or sign out, and on the next app launch after it becomes more than seven days old.

If you save birth details, the details and derived natal snapshot are stored in Supabase and linked to your account. Database access controls limit that record to the signed-in account owner. We do not send birth values or natal migration records to PostHog analytics, Sentry error reporting, or our marketing systems.

You can correct saved details in Settings > Birth Details. Deleting your account deletes the associated natal snapshot, including its birth details. You can also request correction or deletion using the contact methods under “Your Rights” below.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not trade or rent it. We do share it with the service providers we use to run and measure our website and services — including the analytics and marketing-measurement services named under "Analytics and Tracking on the Website" below. Under some U.S. state privacy laws, sharing information with advertising and measurement partners in this way may be treated as "sharing" (or a "sale") of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We may share information with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing, email delivery, hosting services, and analytics.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to legal processes, such as a court order or subpoena.
  • Business Transfers: If Soul Fire Rising is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • With Your Consent: We may share information with third parties when you give us explicit permission to do so.

Analytics and Tracking on the Website

Two analytics services run on every page of soulfirerising.co. They start collecting as soon as a page loads: this website does not show a cookie banner and does not ask for your consent first. Here is what each one receives and why.

EdgeTag (Marketing Measurement)

We use EdgeTag, a server-side tagging service, to measure how our marketing performs — which pages people arrive on, and which campaigns lead to sign-ups. It is served from cfdit.soulfirerising.co, a subdomain we control that passes data on to the EdgeTag service and to the advertising and measurement platforms we use.

EdgeTag receives the pages you visit on our website. When you submit our newsletter form, contact form, retreat application, or Soul Fire Archetype assessment, it also receives the email address you entered, together with a record of which of those forms you completed. Nothing else from those forms reaches EdgeTag — not your name, not the message you wrote, and not your assessment result.

EdgeTag also receives commercial-interest signals as you browse: when you open our retreats, events, app, or assessment pages; when you click a call to action for a retreat or for the archetype assessment, along with the title, category, price, and currency of that offer; and, if you reach the thank-you page after buying an event ticket, the item purchased and its price.

PostHog (Website Analytics and Session Replay)

We use PostHog on this website to understand how the site is used and where people get stuck. PostHog receives the pages you visit, how far you scroll, the clicks and other interactions you make, your device and browser details, and your approximate location derived from your IP address.

Session replay is enabled on this website. Your visit is recorded and can be replayed as a video-like reconstruction of what you saw and how you moved through the site. Recording is not sampled — it applies to every session. Text you type into form fields is masked in these recordings, but the pages, layout, and your navigation are captured. This differs from our mobile app, where session replay is off.

When you submit our newsletter form, contact form, retreat application, or Soul Fire Archetype assessment, your email address becomes your identifier in PostHog. The browsing you did before that point, including any session recording, is joined to that identity, and from then on your activity on the website is associated with you rather than with an anonymous visitor. Alongside your email address, PostHog receives:

  • Your name, on the forms that ask for one
  • From the contact form, the inquiry type and the subject line you entered — the body of your message is not sent to PostHog
  • From the retreat application, which retreat you viewed and applied for
  • From the assessment, your Soul Fire Archetype and your Ayurvedic dosha result. Both are recorded when you finish the quiz, before you enter your email, and become linked to you when you do; your archetype is also attached directly to your identified profile as a saved property

Your birth date is not sent to PostHog. PostHog stores and processes this data on servers in the United States. For more information, see PostHog's Privacy Policy.

Your Choices on the Website

We do not currently offer a website opt-out control, and website analytics are not opt-in. You can limit this collection using your browser's privacy settings, tracking-prevention features, or a content blocker — though because EdgeTag is served from our own subdomain, some blockers will not stop it. The in-app analytics opt-out described below applies to the mobile app only. If you have questions or a request about information collected on the website, contact us at [email protected] or through our contact form.

Third-Party Services (Mobile App)

Our mobile application uses the following third-party services to provide and improve our services:

Supabase (Database & Authentication)

We use Supabase to store your account information, journal entries, preferences, and progress data. Supabase processes your email address, name, and app usage data. For more information, see Supabase's Privacy Policy.

RevenueCat (Subscription Management)

We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases. RevenueCat processes your purchase history and subscription status but does not have access to your payment details (these are handled directly by Apple/Google). For more information, see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

PostHog (Analytics)

We use PostHog to understand how users interact with our app and improve our services. PostHog collects usage data such as screens visited, features used, and app performance metrics, which is stored and processed on servers in the United States and linked to your account. We do not enable session replay in the mobile app, and we never send your private content — the words in your journal entries, your saved readings, or your mood logs — to PostHog. You can opt out of usage analytics at any time in the app under Settings > Privacy > Usage Analytics. For more information, see PostHog's Privacy Policy.

Sentry (Error Tracking)

We use Sentry to track app errors and crashes to improve stability. Sentry collects crash logs, error messages, and device information. This data is used solely for debugging and improving the app. We attach a stable internal account ID — not your email or name — to help correlate issues across a signed-in session. For more information, see Sentry's Privacy Policy.

Apple HealthKit (Health Data)

With your explicit permission, our app can write meditation minutes to Apple Health on iOS. This integration is optional and can be enabled or disabled in the app's Settings. We write completed mindfulness sessions and read mindful-session records to display today's total. We do not transmit or store those Health records on our servers; they remain on your device and in Apple Health.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When we no longer need your information, we will securely delete or anonymize it.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information
  • Objection: Object to our processing of your personal information
  • Data Portability: Request a copy of the information we hold about you
  • Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for processing where we rely on your consent

How to Make a Request

We handle these requests by hand — there is no self-service export tool or automated download. Email [email protected] or use our contact form — either reaches us. Write from the address associated with your account or your form submission and tell us what you would like. We may ask for further information to verify your identity before we act. We aim to respond within 30 days, and where you have asked for a copy of your information we will send it in a commonly used electronic format.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your browsing activities and preferences. Cookies are small data files stored on your device. The services named under "Analytics and Tracking on the Website" above rely on these technologies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling cookies may affect your ability to use certain features of our website.

Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these external sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information.

International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using our services, you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
